This year Logan Reserve State School will be celebrating book week a little earlier than we usually do. We will have a book celebration day held on the 26th of August. The theme this year is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds". As usual this will be a day for students and teachers, of all year levels, to dress up in costume of their favourite book character. It is always a fun day with everyone getting behind the event. Due to restrictions, however, we will not be able to hold our book parade in the hall as usual, this year we will do a walk around the oval instead and put together a video of the event for parents to come and view later when restrictions allow.

For more information about book week and this years theme please visit the CBCA website.

CBCA BOOK WEEK 2021

Each year since 1945 the CBCA has brought children and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week. During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators. Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading. You will often see parades with students dressed as their favourite book character.
