Metropolitan East External link region is one of 12 regions created to provide and manage representative school sport across Queensland. While each of these regions is a unit of Education Queensland, any student from any affiliated school, regardless of the school's systemic membership, is eligible to trial for selection in the region's team of choice.
Metropolitan East region provides opportunities for students in schools in an area bounded by the Bay Islands in the east, the Brisbane River in the north, the M1 in the west and Logan City in the south.
